Another common use for these private appointments can be for an instructor to diagnose an individual’s issues and provide coaching to help correct the problem(s) in the area of accuracy.

Or the time can be scheduled for specific focus on tasks such as assistance in disassembly and cleaning, function testing a handgun or trying out a specific handgun (with additional cost of gun rental and ammunition)

This is a 1-on-1 or 1-on-2 shooting (and/or cleaning) session with an instructor. Shooting Skills Tuneups are intended primarily for those who have already taken a course from ACSD and want to improve on their accuracy and/or speed with their chosen handgun. It may also be applicable for those who may need more practice/coaching before another attempt at the LTC “demonstration of proficiency”.

The rate for instructor and range time is $50/hr on weekdays or weekday evenings and $80/hr on weekends (if available, generally with a 2-hour minimum).

Eye and ear protection are available at no extra charge if students do not have their own. If planning to shoot a semi-automatic pistol, no sandals, halter tops or other clothing that can readily catch hot brass. A baseball cap and long sleeve shirt (using the very top button) are recommended.
Cancellation Policy

* Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the scheduled class start time may choose between a full refund or a transfer of the class fee to a future scheduled class within one calendar year at no cost pending availability.
* Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the scheduled class start time may transfer the class fee to a future scheduled class within 90 days at no cost pending availability but will not be eligible for a refund.
* Any no show with no call will result in no refund.
* All class fees collected where the class was not attended by the payee will be forfeited after 90 days of the originally scheduled class.
* In cases where the class has been attended, there will be no refunds
